How are you, guys? This web page has been designed just for you! Are you ready for some fun? But, first, let me introduce myself. I am Squiggy, the scared squirrel. Do you know why I am scared? No. Well, I am scared of all kinds of disasters! Youth CDE and Nanie, the nut, developed a campaign to promote the awareness of emergency disasters, and you are invited to join their "Don't Be Scared, Be Prepared!" campaign.

It has been said that “It’s better safe than sorry.” Do you know what to do in case a disaster hits? To get educated, click or roll over the icons below.
What is terrorism? The use of violence by a person or group with an intention to scare the government or society. For more information, click on icon. What is fire? The process of combustion or burning of inflammable materials (like paper, wood, cloth, etc.) producing heat and light and (often) smoke. For more information, click on icon. What is a flood? An overflowing of water onto land that is normally dry. For more information, click on icon. What is a hurricane? A severe tropical cyclone originating in the equatorial regions of the Atlantic Ocean or Caribbean Sea or eastern regions of the Pacific Ocean, traveling north, northwest, or northeast from its point of origin, and usually involving heavy rains. For more information, click on icon. What are thunderstorms? A storm with lightning caused by changes in air pressure. Severe thunderstorms can bring heavy rains, strong winds, hail, and tornadoes. For more information, click on icon. What is a winter storm? A storm with lots of snow, sometimes hail, and strong cold wind. For more information, click on icon. What is a tornado?
